Tadoba Andheri Tiger Reserve

Tadoba Andheri Tiger Reserve is the oldest and largest national park in Maharashtra, located in the Chandrapur district. It is named after the tribal god "Tadoba" and the Andhari River that flows through the forest. Known for its thriving tiger population, Tadoba offers one of the best chances to spot tigers in the wild. The reserve consists of dense teak and bamboo forests, open meadows, and water bodies that support a wide range of wildlife including leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, gaur (Indian bison), and over 200 species of birds. Tadoba is a favorite among wildlife photographers and nature lovers for its rich biodiversity, frequent big cat sightings, and relatively less commercialized safari experience.
