Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve

Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve is one of India’s most famous wildlife reserves, located in Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur district. It is renowned for its high chances of spotting tigers in their natural habitat, especially during daylight. Originally a royal hunting ground, Ranthambhore became a wildlife sanctuary in 1955 and was declared a tiger reserve under Project Tiger in 1973. The reserve spans dry deciduous forests, open grasslands, and scenic lakes, set against the backdrop of the historic Ranthambhore Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Apart from tigers, the park hosts leopards, sloth bears, marsh crocodiles, and a rich variety of birds, making it a top destination for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers.
